St. Cecilia and Holy Agony parish celebrated its annual Street Mass on 106th Street between Park and Lexington avenues in East Harlem Sept. 8.

Father Peter Mushi, A.J., was the celebrant of the 4 p.m. Mass. The event began three hours earlier with outreach that included music and healing prayers.

Some 500 chairs were set up on East 106th Street for parishioners and guests to enjoy an outdoor Mass that also served as a parish evangelization endeavor to give elderly and disabled people who have difficulty climbing the steep steps outside the church an opportunity to attend Mass.
