Three Sisters of Christian Charity professed their final vows Aug. 15 during a Mass in Mary Immaculate Chapel at Mallinckrodt Convent in Mendham, N.J.
Sister Regina Bathalon, S.C.C., teaches fifth grade at NativityMiguel School in Scranton, Pa. The native of Fort Sam Houston, Texas, earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Vermont, Burlington, Vt., and entered the Sisters of Christian Charity from Immaculate Heart of Mary parish in Williston, Vt.
Sister Monique Eloizard, S.C.C., is a guidance counselor at Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, Pa. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she entered the Sisters of Christian Charity from Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony parish in Hamilton, N.J. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Seton Hall University, South Orange, N.J., and served at St. Elizabeth-St. Brigid parish in Peapack, N.J.
Sister Luiza Simon, S.C.C., will be ministering at Margaretha Home for the Blind in Quezon City, Philippines. A native of Manila in the Philippines, she entered the Sisters of Christian Charity from St. Aloysius parish in Jersey City, N.J. She received a bachelor’s degree in Catholic studies from Seton Hall University, South Orange, N.J., and served as director of religious education at Holy Infancy parish, Bethlehem, Pa.
The Sisters of Christian Charity serve in the archdiocese at Cristo Rey High School, East Harlem; Immaculate Conception School, the Bronx; and Catholic Charities, the Bronx.
