Twelve Priests Celebrate Silver Anniversaries

Twelve priests of the archdiocese are celebrating their silver anniversaries this year. Cardinal Dolan celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving with them at St. John the Evangelist Church in Manhattan May 10.

Cardinal John O’Connor ordained 11 of the 12 priests on May 16, 1992, at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. One priest, Father Miroslaw Pawlaczyk, was ordained on May 30, 1992 in his native Poland and later incardinated in the archdiocese.

Father Jack Arlotta has served as pastor of St. Stephen the First Martyr, Warwick, since 2015, after being appointed as administrator there the year before. He was pastor of Sacred Heart, Highland Falls, 2002-2014. He was parochial vicar at Resurrection, Rye, 1996-2002, and Holy Rosary, the Bronx, 1992-1996.

Father Thomas Collins has served as president since 2011 of Archbishop Stepinac High School, White Plains, where he was on the faculty, 1995-2001; associate dean of students, 2001-2002; dean of students, 2002-2007; and working in the development office, 2007-2011. He served as military chaplain for the 105th air wing at Stewart Air Base in Newburgh, 1994-2006. He was parochial vicar at St. Columbanus, Peekskill, 1992-1995.

Father Dennis Dinan has been pastor of St. Francis Xavier, Narrowsburg, since 2015. He was at St. Francis of Assisi, Newburgh, as administrator, 2013-2015, and parochial vicar, 1992-1995. He served at St. Joseph, New Windsor, as pastor, 2012-2015, and temporary administrator, 2012. He was at Immaculate Conception, Port Jervis, as pastor, 1999-2007, and administrator, 1998-1999. He was administrator at Sacred Heart, Port Jervis, 2004-2007. He was parochial vicar at St. Thomas of Canterbury, Cornwall-on-Hudson, 2010-2012; Holy Family, Staten Island, 2007-2010; St. Sylvester’s, Staten Island, 1996-1998; and St. Catharine, Blauvelt, 1995-1996.

Father Robert Dunn has served as chaplain at Jeanne Jugan Residence, the Bronx, since 2007. He was parochial vicar at St. Augustine’s, Ossining, 1996-2007; St. Gregory the Great, Manhattan, 1995-1996; and Incarnation, Manhattan, 1992-1995.

Father John Lagiovane has been pastor of St. Joseph, Somers, since 2015, and was administrator there, 2014-2015. He was principal of Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Poughkeepsie, 2006-2014, and was on the faculty of Msgr. Farrell High School, Staten Island, 1999-2006, He was parochial vicar of St. Aedan’s, Pearl River, 1996-1999, and Sacred Heart, Newburgh, 1992-1996.

Father Thomas Lynch has served as pastor at Our Lady of Angels, the Bronx, since 2007. He was administrator at Nativity, Manhattan, 2006-2007. He served as professor of Church history at St. Joseph’s Seminary, Dunwoodie, 1998-2006, and also from 2001 as director of pastoral formation at the seminary and dean of the Cathedral Prep program for high school students. He was parochial vicar at Holy Family, the Bronx, 1992-1994. He did graduate studies at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., 1994-1998.

Father Miroslaw Pawlaczyk has been administrator at Immaculate Conception, Kingston, since last year. He was parochial vicar at Our Lady of Mercy, Port Chester, 2015-2016, and St. John the Evangelist, Mahopac, 2004-2014. He served as administrator at Sacred Heart, Port Chester, 2014-2015. He was incardinated into the archdiocese in 2011.  

Father Robert Quarato has served since 2015 as pastor of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Shrub Oak, where he previously was administrator for a year. He was pastor of Holy Rosary, the Bronx, 2001-2014. He was parochial vicar of St. Margaret of Cortona, the Bronx, 1996-2001, and St. Benedict’s, the Bronx, 1992-1996.

Father Austin Titus has served as pastor of Epiphany, Manhattan, since 2015. He was pastor of Holy Family, Staten Island, 2003-2015. He was parochial vicar at St. Rita’s, Staten Island, 1997-2003, and St. Frances of Rome, the Bronx, 1992-1997.

Father Michael Reilly has served as principal since 2009 at St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School, Staten Island, where he also was on the faculty, 1996-2009. He was parochial vicar at Holy Family, Staten Island, 1992-1996.

Father John Wroblewski has been pastor of Our Lady of Pity-St. Anthony of Padua, Staten Island, since 2015. He served as pastor of St. Anthony of Padua, Staten Island, 2000-2015, and was administrator, 1999-2000. He was administrator at Our Lady of Pity, 2014-2015. He was parochial vicar at St. Adalbert’s, Staten Island, 1995-1999; Sacred Heart, Staten Island, 1993-1995; and St. Casimir, Yonkers, 1992-1993.
