Vatican Congregation to Review Allegations Against Father Anderson

Posted

In keeping with the practice of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith involving all allegations of improper conduct with a minor, the case of the Reverend Louis Anderson, a priest of the Archdiocese of New York, has been referred to the Congregation for its review. Father Anderson was removed from his parish assignment in 2019 following such an allegation. The Bronx District Attorney was notified at the time, and a letter sent to his parishioners. Father Anderson remains out of ministry, and is not permitted to function as a priest.
