A recital with violinists Veronika and Sophia Lugosi will be held Sunday, Nov. 5, in St. Joseph’s School auditorium to benefit those who suffered from Hurricane Maria on Puerto Rico.

The event, sponsored by the Hungarian community of St. Joseph’s, begins at 3:30 p.m. in the school auditorium located at 420 E. 87th St. in the Yorkville section of Manhattan.

The violinists will play selections from Mozart, Bartok, Handel and Wienieawski.

“I am grateful to the Hungarian community for organizing this event,’’ said Father Boniface Ramsey, pastor of St. Joseph’s, in the parish bulletin.

There is no paid admission to the recital, but a free-will offering will be collected for the people of Puerto Rico. All are invited to attend.

St Joseph’s, founded in 1873, has a current weekend Mass attendance of about 700. The school, founded in 1880, has 350 students.
