Sister Ann Duggan, O.S.U., a teacher and principal in archdiocese schools for 12 years, died Jan. 28 at Andrus on Hudson in Hastings-on-Hudson. She was 92.

Sister Ann was principal of Academy of Mount St. Ursula, the Bronx, 1963-1968. She was a teacher at The Ursuline School, New Rochelle, 1961-1963, and Our Lady of Mercy, the Bronx, 1950-1955.

She served with Catholic Relief Services in Togo, Africa, as worldwide AIDS response coordinator, 1992-2003, and assistant to the regional director, 1979-1992. She also served in Malone, Greece, Denmark and Italy.

Born in Orange, N.J., she entered the Ursuline Sisters in 1945 and professed final vows in 1951.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in French from the College of New Rochelle and a master’s in French from Fordham University.

Her sister, Eleanor Duggan Neal, survives her.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated Feb. 2 in the Ursuline Province Center Chapel, New Rochelle. Burial was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla.
