I have never before, in my 83 years, written to a newspaper.
I am so disappointed that you will not be publishing Catholic New York after this year. So sad—I have looked forward to and enjoyed it for so very long.
More upsetting was the reaction of my friend who is confined in a nursing home, and has been for more than 20 years. I forward my copy of the paper to her and she is always anxious to get it.
Because of Covid, weekly clerical and volunteer visits no longer happen in her facility. The paper means so much to her and she is quite upset.
Not always do older persons have the option of technology. The paper is a blessed gift for inspiration and religious enlightenment, especially appreciated are Cardinal Dolan’s words.
