Family Life Office Offering Free Online Couples Checkup

The Archdiocese of New York, through its Family Life/Respect Life Office, is offering a limited number of free codes for Catholic Couple Checkup, an online tool designed to identify relationship strengths and challenges for dating, engaged and married couples.
The checkup is an enjoyable and easy way for couples to take a closer look at their relationship, increase their relationship strengths and spark meaningful conversations between each other.
Key relationship areas covered in the 20- to 30-minute checkup are communication, conflict resolution, financial management, leisure activities, sexual relationship, family and friends and spiritual beliefs.
Izabella Nagle, marriage enrichment coordinator for the Family Life/Respect Life Office, said Catholic Couple Checkup (CCC) is reliable, scientifically tested and proven to help improve relationships by 30 percent. CCC, developed in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Chicago Family Ministries Office, will likely become a good tool for pre-Cana couples preparing for marriage in New York, she said.
“Younger couples have grown up on these self-tests in magazines,” she said.
Dr. Kathy Wither, director of the Family Life/Respect Life Office, said, “Anything that can build and strengthen marriages, why wouldn’t we use it?”
To get your free Couples Checkup code, good for the first 100 couples, go to the Family Life/Respect Life Office website at nyfamilylife.org.
The cost of the checkup is normally $35.
