Regretfully, every level of our society—religion, government, law, finance, education, entertainments, sports—is rampant with individuals guilty of abuse, assault, theft, greed, all felonies. We Catholics see many a “Judas” victimizing within our Church.
Sadly, we are experiencing a great spiritual crisis. Disgust, distrust and despair flourishes everywhere. Back 500, 1,000 and 1,500 years ago, the Church experienced crises. The worst was 2,000 years ago. By the grace of God, we still have the Holy Spirit, our Blessed Mother and our persevering clergy who hold fast to their vows. In spite of the battles that rage around them—shrinking congregations, church and school closings, etc., the clergy steadfastly perform their spiritual and mundane duties attending to all our faithful needs. These heroic clergy deserve our thanks, praise and continued support and prayers.
Looks like a David and Goliath return bout. Stay tuned in church.
