Brigid Patricia A. Finneran, a longtime volunteer at ArchCare at Mary Manning Walsh Nursing Home in Manhattan, died July 21. She was 88.
Born in Manhattan, she attended Blessed Sacrament and Holy Name schools. Before her marriage to Martin S. Finneran in 1956, she worked as a secretary for Electrolux and American Cyanamid.
She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola parish in Manhattan.
Mrs. Finneran belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Ladies of Charity and, for more than 30 years, volunteered at Mary Manning Walsh Home.
She is survived by her six children: Eileen Finneran, Brian Finneran, Mary Grace Finneran, Kelly McKenna, Tricia Crowley and Kevin Finneran; her grandchildren and great-grandchild; and her sister Margaret Crowley.
A Funeral Mass was offered July 29 at St. Inatius Loyola Church.
