Margaret “Peggy” Lynch, who worked at St. John Neumann Residence in the Bronx for 13 years, died April 30 at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, N.J. She was 89.
Ms. Lynch served at St. John Neumann, 1986-1999.
Born in Ireland, she immigrated to the United States with her uncle Thomas Rahilly in 1948, and was a longtime parishioner of St. Nicholas of Tolentine, the Bronx, and St. Paul the Apostle, Yonkers.
Her sons, John Joe, Patrick, Kevin, Timothy and Maurice; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren survive her.
She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick, and sons Denis and Father Thomas Lynch, who died April 28 (CNY, May 5).
A Funeral Mass was celebrated May 4 in St. Aedan’s Church, Pearl River. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.
