Sister Catherine Patricia Brennan, O.P.

Sister Catherine Patricia Brennan, O.P., who taught in the archdiocese, died Dec. 1 in Siena Hall Infirmary at Dominican Convent in Sparkill. She was 94. She taught at Albertus Magnus High

School in Bardonia, where she also was assistant principal, 1970-1973. She taught at Thorpe Secretarial School in Manhattan, 1950-1957, and St. Brendan’s in the Bronx, 1943-1944. She also taught in Fulton and was a teacher and principal in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. After retiring she assisted in the finance office at Dominican Convent. Born in St. Louis, Mo., she entered the Dominican Congregation of Our Lady of the Rosary in Sparkill in 1932 and professed

final vows in 1939. She held a bachelor’s degree in English from Fontbonne University and a master’s in business education from Columbia University. Her survivors include a niece, Sister Sheila Brennan, O.P., of St. Louis. A Funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 6 at Dominican Convent, with burial at St. Agnes Cemetery in Sparkill.
