Sister Mary Felicity McGowan, S.H.C.J., who taught at Our Lady of Lourdes School in Manhattan, 1955-1967, died Dec. 7 at Holy Child Center in Rosemont, Pa. She was 88. Formerly known as Mother Mary Felicity, she taught in California, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. Born in Philadelphia, she entered the Society of the Holy Child Jesus in 1940 and professed final vows in 1948. She held a bachelor’s degree in education from Villanova University. She is survived by a sister, Gertrude Pfaff. A Funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 14 at the New Sharon Chapel in Rosemont, with burial at Calvary Cemetery in Conshohocken, Pa.
